Pastor's Corner

There’s a story of a little girl who went camping with her parents and unfortunately found herself in unfamiliar parts of a deep, dark forest after wandering off. She frantically called and screamed for her father but to no avail, and the darker it got, the more afraid she became. As daybreak began, many of the campers who had volunteered in the search gave up hope and left, but the little girl’s father never stopped searching. He retraced his steps, calling out to his little girl, until he could soon hear her calling for him. Upon them finding one another, he picked her up and as he placed her in his arms close to his heart, she repeated one thing over and over, “Daddy, I found you!” This story reminded me of the way we were before having Jesus in our lives. Then, we didn’t realize that He has always known where to find us, it was us needing to locate Him. God patiently waits for us to reach out to Him, and soon as we do, just like that father searching for his lost little girl, Jesus picks us up, embraces us, holds us close to his heart, and gives us His love and His peace! In a real sense, when we find Christ, we discover that we were the ones who were lost.
May God Bless You,
